A pop of colour within the glass!
Centennial College - Athletic & Wellness Centre
This renovation transformed and expanded an existing double gymnasium into a central athletic facility for Centennial College that accommodates multiple athletic and academic programs as well as convocation ceremonies, events, and concerts.
Per the architect Kongats, the placement of opaque, transparent, and distorted transparent elements on the facility’s façade creates a diversity of views and lighting effects.
This diversity was brought into the building with colourful glass, namely the pink glazing walls that are supported by Stella’s adjustable stand-off.
The +/- 6mm adjustability save site labour hours and was appreciated by the glaziers in situations where the mounting surface was uneven and needed a minor adjustment.
