“Chambar…a thing of exhilaration….
That magic didn’t change when the restaurant moved into the much larger space next door. Brick, wooden beams and red leather booths still abound…The restaurant gained a patio and despite about a million more seats, it has never run a deficit of charm.”
Per Scout Magazine article entitled “Why Chambar is Still Vancouver’s Most Important Restaurant After 15 Years”
The much-lauded Belgian-Moroccan restaurant – Chambar – is a perfect example of mixing modern materials with traditional finishes.
We were thrilled to be part of Chambar’s renewal of a 1912 heritage building. Our huge oversized sliding doors blur the lines between inside and out on a warm Vancouver evening.
In addition to their large size, the doors are unique in their finish. While they look like light-oak wood doors, they are entirely aluminum. Using Longboard coating on our aluminum extrusions gives these doors a traditional aesthetic without ever needing to worry about rust, warping or repainting.
We are also proud to have supplied additional doors to the commercial spaces above the restaurant in the same 1912 heritage building renovation.
