Kay Meek Arts Centre

Kay Meek Arts Centre is West Vancouver’s only performing arts centre and showcases touring artists and musicians as well as visual art. It is only fitting that the building is a piece of art as well.

“A serpentine-shaped glass lobby cascades down the site’s steeply wooded hillside adjacent to a seasonal flowing creek.”

We were proud to work with the architect to achieve this vision.
Our structural glass wall system combines the primary building support structure with the glass support structure which leads to less visual obstruction.

Behind the Scenes on this Support

Minimal steel columns with arms projecting from each column (cheekily named the “Stella Spar”), support the glass (with less distance between support locations).
Spider hadware was then fixed to the end of each arm to carry the glass.
