Kingsway Pedestrian Bridge

This one-of-a-kind 44m [145′] Kingsway Pedestrian Bridge spans across the busy intersection of Kingsway and McMurray Avenue in Burnaby.

The bridge creates an aesthetically pleasing portal for traffic entering and leaving the city along the Kingsway corridor. The guards for the bridge are affixed to stainless steel rods, suspended from the large glulam beams arching across the road.

The varying angles of each rod caused the glass panels to slope inwards, multiple stand-off lengths were required on the spider fittings to accommodate.
