The architectural intent was to have a highly transparent entrance lobby with the exterior glass guard to the upper levels integrated with the lower glass wall.
The options of a “Doc and Pin” system or an “NHG (No Holes in Glass)” system were presented to the architect who chose the latter. Each panel of glass rests on a ledge which is affixed to the glass fins and the glass is bonded to the fins to resist wind loads. No fasteners are visible from the outside.
