The architectural vision for the redevelopment of the site was to create transparency and interaction at street level. All exterior cladding of the existing building was removed and replaced with a new building envelope. The base section is primarily full height glazing to allow for transparency and openness at grade.

• Microsoft Centre of Excellence – a  massive 142,000-square-foot office and development hub that spans the top two floors
• Sony Pictures Imageworks Global Headquarters

The conversion of this building from a totally enclosed concrete panel system to a light window curtain wall system plus the need to emphasise the entrance to this iconic store resulted in an all glass lobby built onto a steel HSS base structure.

Glass fins increased the lightweight effect of the walls whilst glass, mounted onto steel HSS members allows a profusion of light into the building beyond.
